Do I need a boating license to rent a boat?
In Florida, the minimum age is 25 and some boating experience combined with a valid driver’s license / ID is necessary to rent and operate a motorboat of ten (10) horsepower or greater.
Anyone who was born on or after Jan. 1, 1988, is required to successfully complete an approved boating safety course and obtain a Boating Safety Education Identification Card issued by the FWC or has completed a NASBLA-approved boater safety course or equivalency examination from another state AND a photographic I.D.

What types of rental boats do you offer?
We offer a variety of boat rental options in Cape Coral, featuring deck and bow-rider rental boats in different sizes.
Each type is designed to cater to different needs and personal preferences for your perfect days on the water.
How can I book my boat rental?
You can book our rental boats and services directly through our website or by contacting us via contact form, email or phone.
We recommend booking in advance to ensure availability.
How can I pay for my rental boat?
A 25% down payment is due upon confirmation of your rental boat reservation.
In our online system you can use several payment options including credit card, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
If you book by phone or email, the following payment options are available:
- Zelle®
- Bank transfer (ACH, domestic wire or international wire)
- Credit card (+ 3.5% fees)
What is your cancellation policy?
A 25% down payment is due upon confirmation of your rental boat reservation.
The full payment is due 10 days prior to the rental date.
In the event of cancellation, the following terms apply:
- More than 30 days prior to the rental date: 75% refund (down payment will be kept).
- Less than 30 days prior to the rental date: 50% refund.
- Less than 10 days prior to the rental date: no refund.
Customers will be offered a free rebooking or a gift card if the reservation is canceled due to unavoidable circumstances (hurricanes, damage to the boat without a possible replacement boat).
Do I have to pay a security deposit?
A security deposit of US $1,200 is required upon delivery of the rental boat in cash or by credit card.
It is used as an insurance deductible and will be refunded upon return of the boat after the fuel level and condition of the boat have been checked.
If there is any damage or the fuel level is not the same as when the boat was delivered, this amount will be deducted from the security deposit.
As the skipper, you are responsible for obeying local regulations. Especially the speed limits in the indicated zones.
As the lessor, we assume no responsibility for violations of Florida regulations. In the event of a ticket or fine, the renter is liable.
The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by insurance, for example:
- Violation of local laws
- Actions prohibited by Florida law or criminal statutes
- Operating the boat while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
- Operation of the boat by anyone other than the renter
How does the delivery and return of the rental boat work?
Boat delivery is by appointment to your vacation home or one of the numerous boat ramps in SE / SW Cape Coral. Delivery to other locations is by arrangement and is subject to an additional fee.
Delivery time no earlier than 9:30 AM. Return hours no later than 4:30 PM at the same location as delivery. A delivery and return agreement must be signed by both parties.
The briefing will take place shortly after delivery of the boat. This includes instructions on how to use the boat, a trial run if desired, and information on the boat’s features and where to go. The briefing is required by Florida law.
Which equipment is included in the boat rental?
The equipment of our boats complies with the legal regulations and the requirements of our district and includes at least:
- Life jackets
- Float cushion
- Distress signals (flares)
- Fire extinguishers
- Fishfinder (depth)
- GPS plotter
- Marine charts
- Fenders and lines
- Anchor
- Boat hook
- Paddle
- Bimini (sun roof)
- Bathing ladder
- Bathing platform
What about gas & refueling?
The boat will be delivered with a minimum of 50% full gas tank and must be returned with the same level.
You agree to purchase only marine gas, which is free of ethanol. Regular gas contains ethanol and can damage the engine.
The boat tank holds normally between 60 and 80 gallons.
You will find a list of marine gas stations in your package on the boat.
Do I need a dock or lift at my vacation home?
In order to safely dock the rental boat at your vacation home, we need a working boat dock, preferably with a working boat lift.
Without a properly functioning dock, we will not be able to deliver your rental boat to your vacation address.
Please make sure your vacation home has at least one usable boat dock.
If needed, we can find you a dock or mooring in Cape Coral or Fort Myers.
Please let us know in advance to ensure that the desired dock is available.
Who is responsible for complying with local regulations?
As the captain of the rental boat, you are responsible for complying with local regulations. You will receive more information during your briefing.
As the lessor, we take no responsibility for any violation of Florida regulations.
The renter must sign a waiver accepting full responsibility for payment in the event of a penalty or ticket.
Are pets allowed on the rental boats?
Yes, well-behaved pets are welcome on our rental boats!
Please ensure you bring any necessary supplies for your furry friends.
